Can you get Green Card...when PETITIONER has died 7 months ago?

Hello All,

Good Morning!

I have a quick querry. Please respond and help me.

My Green Card Holder SISTER,58, ..... was the petitioner for her 2 daughters who has died 7 months ago in INDIA.

ONE daughter is 37,CANADIAN CITIZEN and divorced.
SECOND one is 30, married to US CITIZEN and he has also filed for her.

N V C has received their files last week for processing.

How can I help guide both of them?

Do I need a Lawyer for this?
Help me...what ever you can.

Unless they have another sibling that is an US Citizen, then the petition is dead along with the petitioner.

They can not get a GC based on that I-130.
