Think we may have a possible Affidavit of Support issue. Advice appreciated.

Hello, I'm new on the site. I haven't had time to update anything on my profile just yet but I will when I can.

I moved to the US through the K3 visa in April 2008 from Canada. Unfortunately, alot happened not long after that and we are only now getting to the application for Green Card.

Here's the issue...

Due to the horrendus economy, my American husband lost his job about 5 months back.

Now, he has a new job that he started about 2 weeks ago and it looks like its going to go very well.

But the unemployment thing... I was working the whole time due to a Work Permit I received not long after immigrating (if not making very much) so we weren't destitute but things were very hard.

Is the fact that he was unemployed for so long going to make things hard for us for the Green Card?

NO...as long as your husband can produce enough income to meet the guidline. It will not be a problem. If he just started to work again, have his employer write him a signed statement stating his salary and position. If you still worried, go find a co-sponsor thath as enogh income for the affidavit of support.
