Does Felony cause Greencard petition to be Denied?
US Citzen applying for Husbands Greencard via I-130, he has a felony in the states for posession of drugs, will that cause my petition to be denied? We are living in Germany.

If it is a felony conviction under immigration law, he will ultimately have his green card denied at the consulate, even though the I-130 may be approved.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggravated_felony
But there are exceptions and loopholes and precedents and other conditions, so there is no one simple place you can look it up. It is made even cloudier by the fact that a conviction for immigration purposes isn't the same as a conviction in court (even if a case is dismissed or expunged it can be considered a conviction for immigration purposes in some cases). You need to consult a lawyer who can look at the specific details of your husband's case. Or you could just go ahead and apply and see what happens.

Drug related charges are particularly serious. You need to consult an attorney before doing any filings.
