Just mailed my pack today!!!

It had a covering letter, application, check, around 50 joint utility bills, 20 joint bank account statments, renters insurance in both our names, auto insurance also in both names, 2 rental agreements for the places we have lived and 2 affadavits of support from two of our friends and a copy of both my driving licence and Green Card.

Fingers crossed it goes smoothly,

Anyone else just filed or about to file?

I will update when anything happens, im told California are usually done in 3 months????

I have to send the pack in two weeks time. But ridiciolusly I don't have any financial records in common to show them as a proof. No joint utility bills (it's all on one's name), no joint bank accounts (we have separate bank accounts), no joint insurance (since husband laid off we don't have one), no mortgage payment, no car insurance which my name is on as well, except a current lease we hold together and joint tax files from last year. OMG, I am really worried at this point. Anyone has any idea what shall do. Shall I go to have a joint saving account or such as today. too late? I am afraid they are going to give me a really hard time.

Sorry mrconfused if I am making a mess in your thread. I have to send the pack to CA as well. That's why I found myself here. And the pack you have send made me really worried about myself. No doubt that yours will go smoothly. Wish you the best.

Tashidelek! Those are supporting documents and not mandatory documents. You are not required to submit them along with the application. The purpose is to provide evidence that your marriage is legit and you can use any kind of documents that can help you with that.

yankyank, thanks. But what would be better than a bunch of financial records as an evidence about its legitimacy. I can't think of anything else to make sure that they will be satisfied. I'll send them whatever I have at this point and hope for the best. Ohh God, I'm getting more and more panic...

Check was cashed today!!!

As mentioned in the above posts its not mandatory and they are just supporting documents. I made sure that all bills etc where in joint names as we had a hard time at the AOS interview a few years ago.

Get more affadavits, take out an insurance policy together, open a bank account together or whatever you can as every little helps.

Good luck to you both

Picked up the mail today and my Biometrics is cheduled for April 2nd!!!

Strangely though the return address on the letter is Vermont??? Even though my case is being processed by California???

Anyone know if this is normal?
