inviting parents to visit

I am unmarried male in US and have GC for a year. My parents, indian citizens, want to visit me in US. One of my parents retired a year ago from his government job, and the other is in a government job and will retire in about 2 years. They own property in India and all my relatives are in India with me the only GC holder in the family.
How can i get them some kind of visa to visit US? I know H1 visa holders can invite parents but can GC holders too?

Its called B1/B2. about 10 million indians have this. maybe they can arrive in time to see you being beaten for running a red light.

thanks nelsona. I guess visa officer's judgement about issuing B2 visa does not care about son having green card or some other visa. thanks for the pointer.
