Can i file for un employment

Hi

I received my GC through Univ in July 2007 (I-485 approved) and my employment with univ ended in May 2008 (term not extended).
I joined one startup in the May 2008.

Currently facing issue with my boss (who is ceo of company) so I might loose my job soon. I am trying evry thing I can but he is really trying to misuse every body out in the this bad economy. He unfortunately gets lot of fresh MS graduate who will do any thing to servive in the job due to immigration and finanical issues.

My question is, if I loose my job, and if Iget letter that is sufficient for unemployment benefits, Will it be OK to file for unemployment benefit. I am worried about maintaining GC and furture naturalization if I file for un employment benefit.
thanks for your input.

<sigh>

GC holders can file for UI. There are no immigration / naturalization consequences.
