GC Holder Marrying F1 Student

I am currently GC holder and eligible to apply for Citizenship in July' 2009. My fiancee is on F1 (OPT Since Jan'2009) and we want to get married next month and apply I-130 for her. Will there be any issues when i apply for my citizenship and also will she have any impact as long as she maintains her F1(OPT) status until i get my citizenship. Any information or feedback is appreciated.

If you marry F1, H, out of status ........etc no effect on your citizenship application. Marriage by itself will not drop any legal status for her either. The point is application for citizenship does not mean that you become citizen by application (as you know), this application may stuck pending for years, approved in few months and some cases denied.

Speaking on this issue, I have just received my GC. Therefore, citizenship eligibility for me is out of question for now. I'm thinking of getting married end of this year with a girl back home. What are the options of bringing her here if she doesn't want to go back to study? Can she come with H1B visa - which will allow her to work? If not, what kind of visa / options that we can take?

Thanks.

Once she marries you, she probably couldn't come to the US to study even if she wanted to. Being married to a green card holder or US citizen is evidence of immigrant intent, which is not allowed with a student visa.

H1, L1, and O1, are basically the only options (unless she's Canadian). Anything else, and immigrant intent becomes an issue that could lead to rejection, and other visas don't allow immigrant intent (there may be remote exceptions like professional athlete visas ... but unless you say otherwise I don't think those are relevant to your situation).
