Feb -2009 Visa Bulletin - EB3 is a dead horse

The much awaited useless visa dates (atleast for EB3) are out :
http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bu...etin_4417.html

It is very very frustrating to see that EB3 dates are quite static year after year.

Unbelievable. Makes little sense, since only 9,800 GC's can be given in any one immigration year and the PD is 10/15/01, implies that (9,800*6) approximately 60,000 people applied in 2001 (and say 6 years for argument sake given that its now 2009 and some people in the interim period between 2001 and 2009 have received their GC) as there has been no meaningful forward movement of PD's since 2001 for India EB-3.
I don't know what hope there is, this only leads one to think that this country rewards those who are illegal as when there is an amnesty for them to apply, they get priority over legal immigrants (as what happened when illegals applied by the deadline of 4/30/01 as a result of 245i.)

Extremely frustrating and depressing.

you are correct

I am form India EB3, PD 04/2002. 485 filed in 2005. Two FP happened. 3/4 EAD lost track.

This is frustating. Does anything has any idea how many are pending Indians in EB3 year by year. Why it is holding and stopping in October 2001. I know April 2001 was an issue but why October?

I am so frustated that already thinking of moving to India again. My friends all now became citizens and I still dont know what will happen in future.
