Marry LPR - Lottery Winner

Hi all,
I have a friend who went to the USA under B2 (Tourist Visa) and now she is planning to get marry a LPR who will be completing 4 years of residency in the USA in May 09.
My questions are:

- When the guy will be able to apply for naturalization? Only after 5 years residency? It can be less?

- Is it better for my friend wait untill he get his cizitenzip and then she starts the adjustment of status? Or is it better do not marry now, and wait for his citizenship? But she will be out of status for a couple months...

thanks

Is the lottery a perk for obtaining the GC through marriage? Is that what he means with "Lottery"?

he means DV lottery, not the money lottery. Duh...

Yes, he will be able to apply for citizenship after 4 years and 9 months of residency, provided he complies with all of the criteria. Read Citizenship Guide on www.uscis.gov

She can't apply for adjustment of status until after he becomes a citizen. She will have to make a choice - do everything legally (marry, leave, he files I-130, she comes here with an immigrant visa) or stay illegally (not recommended, coz you never know, plust it's ILLEGAL).

Obviously you didn't understand my post...English comp is available at any college in the U.S. If you don't understand, simply ask. Don't respond with a stupid comment like you did. I know what the DV lottery is. Read the thread again, carefully.

So, seems like said LPR got GC through DV, not the B2 holder won DV recently or is planning to win it in the future ?
