Interview Document Question

I have a quick question regarding documentation for AOS initial interview.

Is USC spouse's original birth certificate enough for showing proof of citizenship? Or do we need to have a original passport as well?

Although we do have color copies of passport with us. Original passport is across the country.

Appreciate your experiences, suggestions & feedback.

I believe the one who is applying for green card, may need a passport. Although why would you have your passport in another country and you be here? Just curious

The original birth certificate is good. Consider not everybody has a passport, and the passport is issued when showing either the original BC or the naturalization certificate. Your spouse original BC will be sufficient

I dont get the question - is the passport/birth certificate for the US Citizen or the green card applicant? If citizen - of course you dont need a passport, but if applicant, how did you enter the country without a passport? Its none of my business, but that was my question!

Glad that's cleared as your original question said "Is USC spouse's original..... "
