The Water Is Wet

hello! every body iam posting this thread because i don't know what to say about it. here is my story, i applied N400 in sep04 got interviewd in Aug05 at the interview i was told that my background checks are not done yet so i can't take my oath, uscis will notify me when they are done. i waited almost 4 years for those checks to be done and finally got my citizenship in Aug 2008. In the mean time i got married in dec05 and filed I-130 for my wife in sep06. however, the petiton has been upgraded eversince i became a u.s citizen. I just called uscis to find out the status of my case and was able to talk to somebody in vermont srvice center, since my case is in vermont, the officer talked to me was very nice and polite and he did tell me that my case has been upgraded however when i asked the status of the case he said there is not much he can talk tell me. All he said that " The water is wet". what should i assume? everything is fine and the case is in active processing time frame or am i stuck again in background check delima.

Is the I-130 approved? Even if not, your spouse should be able to file an I-485.
