Need help on AC21

Company A Applied for my GC , I-485 was filed in 26 march 2007 I had worked for company A for 8 month then i started new job i had 2 RFE and company A has given me EVL letter that they still offer me permanent job , i had interview in 24 July 2008 and i had submitted EVL letter from company A,
now GC is approved last week ,now company A is not doing good due to bad economy , they request me that they can not hire me. so my question is that i had worked for company A 8 month after i filed I485 , do i have to go back to company A or i can carry on with my new job according to AC21.

Thank you

----------------- when GC was filed you were with A. when I-485 you were with A. when went for Interview you were with A. what do you mean by"do i have to go back to company A"?? if A does not have job for you get letter from A that they dont have job for you(date on letter should be after you got GC) and keep that letter till your Citizenship interview. you can join new employer and no AC21 is required.
Thank you
