RFE on Dependent 485

All-

We have recently received an RFE on my Wife's 485. It is about the medicals which were not completely done when we submitted first time.
So they now want the remaining records of my wife's Medicals.

Is that possible that USCIS can look into Wife's 485 without looking into
the Husbands one as mine was GC filed one.

Does it mean that my 485 good ?

MY PD is 2006 AUG. And it is not current and i am not sure why they are looking into my case. I never though that it is possible that uscis can send an RFE when the PD is not current.

Any ideas..what is going on now.
