I751 - do I have to mention my old criminal record again?

Hello everybody,

I am about to file I751 petition to remove conditions on my green card. The question I have is - do I have to mention in I751 my over 7 years old criminal record (disorderly conduct) again if it was already successfully discussed with the officer during my I485 interview and USCIS has all the original documents regarding this arrest? If I do have to mention this arrest again, do I have to send in originals of court papers or can I just send copies and stress out that they already have the originals?

I truly appreciate all the inputs.

If you read the I-751 instructions and read under the Criminal History, it asks you for original documents.
Although you are correct that you have already submitted the originals in your initial AOS process, if I were you I would at least try and get originals.
I'm not even sure if you can request originals again??

I think it's the most ridiculous thing that they make us do that. I have the same problem in a sense. If they want the originals that's tough, because the court can't legally give them to me. Originals, means not copies. So if you had the originals, that means the court has copies.

I sent copies in the first time and had no issue.

Yes, I agree its sort of lame that they make us do this all over again, by original i think a court certified copy of the transcripts, which you probably sent for your 485 interview, i have no clue about the rational behind it.

Thank you all for your replies.
Another Q I have - although I successfully passed the I485 interview where my criminal record was thoroughly discussed, is there a chance that this old criminal record will be a reason to trigger I751 interview?

i really don't think that will be a reason, because its already been discussed and unless their is no other new records you should be fine. If they did, I will be surprised so, keep us in the loop!

Highly unlikely, but I would not rule it out. There is always a miniscule chance.
