I-131 Help

My wife and I have started the process on her adjust of status from a J-1 to a Permanent Resident. We have already filed the I-485, I-130, I-765, I-864EZ and the G-325A. We where told at the time we could file the I-131 so we could visit Canada but was not told it was included in the fee(s) we already paid so we had though it was an extra $305 which we did not want to pay. But come to find out, it’s all included.

So I tried filling it out and have some questions about it. Below is a list of my questions on each section I am unsure about. Please help.

Thanks!

Also, a quick background is she entered here as a J-1 student Visa, we got married which cancelled her visa. We did get the paperwork filed for Permanent Resident before the 30 days after he J-1 was expired. I myself was born in the US.

Part 1, number 3. Class of Admission: Unsure what to put here

Part 2, Application Type: I am assuming we are to use A but I want to confirm that.

Part 3: Unsure on when we will be going so I am not sure what we need to put down for this. We just want to go sometime soon. Probably around Christmas time though.

Part 5, both questions: Not really sure what to put here since she is not a permanent resident yet.

Part 6: Do we put NONE or N/A? Or anything at all? And all the questions for part 6, do we say no or leave them blank since they do not apply?

Part 7: Do we fill this out at all and if so, what information do we need?

student (J-1)

you need option D. She is not a resident until her I485 is approved
Part 3: Unsure on when we will be going so I am not sure what we need to put down for this. We just want to go sometime soon. Probably around Christmas time though.
you may not get approval in time for X-mas, but your AP docs will be valid for a year (or until your I485 is approved, whichever is first) - they just want some dates and a reason to give you AP

part 5 does not apply
Part 6: Do we put NONE or N/A? Or anything at all? And all the questions for part 6, do we say no or leave them blank since they do not apply?
you can leave it blank or put N/A
Part 7: Do we fill this out at all and if so, what information do we need?
q1. check which applies. she is in the US, so the rest does not apply

Thanks for the reply. So actually too, I noticed in Part 3 it says 'If you are applying for an Advance Parole Document, skip to Part 7.", so do I need to skip everything between that go to part 7? I am assuming we want an AP?

So I am curious then woodenshoe101, was your interview showing it to be the initial interview?

I think you may have your threads mixed up , but yes. On the interview notice it said "to appear for initial interview". At the same time there was a line on it saying "you are requested to appear for an interview to complete your application for form I485" (or something of that nature).

Seriously, don't sweat it too much. You will be fine.
