F-1, J-1 and Visiting Home Question based on GC.SSC question, NEED A SERIOUS HELP!
Hi guys,
Coudn't access to forum for some weeks, I hope everyone is doing well, I have a serious question. I was almost filing my package for AOS. As i told before I got married in june to usc. Two years ago, I came to the US with J-1 visa which got 2 year home residency, and after completion of the government program, I went back home and right away came back to the US with f-1 visa. So apperently either I have to go home and stay for two years, then come back and file or get the waiver. I was trying to get no objection waiver thru my embassy they said, we don't do this kind of stuff. I was really mad, but can't help it. Another question is I have been working with SSC which is not authorized and it was issued for me for on campus job, but i have been working on campus. So, my question is, do you know if i go back to spend those two years, and will try to come back, do you think the US embassy would catch that I worked with my ssc off campus? Do you think these info would get to the embassy? What should I do? Should I do my best to get a waiver? I do not know, I am so depressed, I hope I'll find a solution for this. Please guys I need your advices Thank you so much |

You are out of status for working, so yes, you can run into a bunch of trouble, especially if you were out of status for a long time. But in general you should be fine. Complete the HRR and then apply for consular processing. If they ask you about it, never lie. Lying can get you banned for life. Its somewhat unlikely this will come up though.
