FP rejected by FBI, 2nd FP notice within a week

Hello all,

I had applied GC for my mother last month. Her FP were taken last Wed on Oct 8th. We received another notice from USCIS today letting us know that FBI could not process her finger prints and she needs to re-take her FP next week. My mother is 68 yrs old and per my advice she did use this hand lotion the night before her appointment and the morning of her appointment. I was pretty sure that she wouldn't have problems with her finger prints and she will make it.

Has somebody gone thru this situation before and what can be done to avoid FBI not being able to process her finger prints & if God forbid if FBI is not able to process my mother's finger prints this second time, what will happen. Just want to know so we can be well prepared.

Please share your thoughts.

I read a article about this, if second time still they can not get it, I think, you need to get police clearance certificate from towns she lived in last five years yourself.
