AOS approved, still no physical GC

Fellows,

My AOS got approved Sep 4 @ TSC and I have received paper approval notice recently. Still haven't received the "welcome notice" and the physical card. The online status is still "Approval notice sent". Anyone in the same boat? Thanks.

PS. My case number is WAC because it was initially receipted by CSC. I am worried if my biometrics (done in Feb 2008) got uploaded to CSC not TSC.

You may want to contact TSC using POJ method ( a way to get to next level Information Officer), tell them that you haven't received the card production ordered email. They can request your biometrics to be uploaded to appropriate center.
There have been lot of folks in similar situation but in the end there was a happy ending. Your permanent residence will be counted from the date of approval so physical card is only a proof of that.

If you are just curious whether name check cleared for you or not, you can try http://immigrationroad.com/green-car...-uscis-fbi.php

But after Feb. 2008, after six months of pending name check, USCIS doesn't require name check to be cleared before approving AOS(I-485) applications.

Yes jefkorn is absolutely right. My case could not be processed on numerous occasions as my name check was not cleared. Then I sent letters to the First lady, Senators, FBI and CIS Ombusdman. That seemed to have done the trick (see signature). Anyone whose name check is pending, I would strongly recommend to follow what jefkorn has suggested. Even though USCIS does not require name check to be completed anymore, it does not hurt to have it all done. Knowing the way USCIS works who knows what they might come up with tomorrow. Its always better to be safe and complete stuff from our end.

It is still less than a month since approval. Give them at least one month since approval before you get concerned. If you try to talk to USCIS about it they won't do anything for you if it is still less than one month that you have been waiting.

Hi Jackolantern, thanks for the advice. Indeed I am waiting for 30 days mark. But from other posts it seems that the only way to get things moving is to either file I90 w/ fees, or try to get to service center directly which I am hesitating to do. It seems neither customer service nor infopass help.
