expired EAD; Lawyer forgot to send renewal of EAD
I have an EAD expiring on 09/20 and when I called the lawyer to ask where my renewal card is, she was aghast to find out that the renewal from that I signed in January so she could mail it 90 days before expiration, never got mailed to USCIS. I have a H1B approval notice that is valid till 2010, but I have lately traveled and entered the country using Advanced Parole. Do I risk having to stop working since the lawyer that my company hired messed up?
What should be my immediate steps in order to prevent me losing my job and also being in status from immigration standpoint? Thanks for any advice.

Advanced parole does not invalidate your H1B status.

Card received on 8/22/2008.
