Hello all,

How can I find out when (approximately) I would be getting my green card?

I sent in my I-485 application on October, 2007. I am being sponsored by my job. I got the letter confirming that they received it and I have also already completed the finger print and picture step.
I have checked the status of my application online and it has not changed since I first saw it in October 2007. I also check the processing dates monthly in this page: http://by105w.bay105.mail.live.com/m...box&n=31764195

The processing dates haven’t changed in several months now. It still tells me that they are processing applications from July 08, 2007 for Employment-based I-485 applications.

If your I-485 is employment-based you will have to provide your priority date, employment-based category and country of birth for anybody to hazard any guess about when you will receive your green card.
Note that I said "guess". There is no order to how USCIS approves employment-based green card.

today i called my friend he filed EB2 for GC in march 2005 and he said that in august 3rd week he got his green card, i am confused how it is possible

EB2 - is current till Oct 2008. After that it is going to be slow. Your friend was in this category.

EB3 - Cutoff date for EB3 for Fiscal Year 2009 is July 1st 2001. Yes year 2001.

Getting GC in USA... forget it.

Priority date Dec 2000 EB3 still no Green Card???
Your date is current. You should have received your GC by now. Did you check your status online?

Meaning, now USCIS is processing GC for applicant who applied their labor on July 2001 or before.

Starts from Oct 1st 2008 to Sept 30th 2009.

I wondering anyone can answer these questions? greatly appreciate!

My EB3 I-485 receiving date shows as Aug 28, 2007.

Which processing time that I should look for so far when they have been processed?

1) The processing time that shows on USCIS NSC site, which currently says as JUL 4th, 2007

or

2) The visa bulletin that shows as "May 1, 2005, EB3 on other countiries other than India, CHina, Mexico and Philipones?"

Your PD is Dec 2001. Looks like you are very close. Currently they are processing Oct 2001.

Your PD is April 2002. Currently they are processing cases for Oct 2001. You are not far away.

I finally got the LUD on I-485 stating that my card has been ordered on 2/17/09...

My I-485 is filed on may 9th 2008. I filed it under cross changeability. My spouse is UAE born. How much time it will take to process 485? In fact i want to ask will they process my I-485 because the processing date is 14th July 2007 in Nebraska?? can anyone answer?

When I-485 became current in June 2007, my I-485 was eligible for approval, so, I contacted Customer Service and I was told, my background verification is pending from FBI. By the time I got the news, I-485 was retrogressed to 2000. After that I contacted FBI and finally in Oct-2007 FBI cleared my background verification. Since then I started waiting again for my Prirority Date. My current attorney says there is nothing I can do about it in this situation other than waiting.

My question is - is there anybody like my or similar to my situation? I have a feeling that USCIS might lost my case or misplaced somewhere.
If I change my attorney( to a smart one?!) do you think he/she can do something better and make USCIS approve my case?

Please advise/share your comments.

My GC has been pending forever. I am on my 7th EAD.

arbask: You mentioned you had contacted FBI. How did you do that? Did FBI tell you they cleared your case?

Hi,

RFE issued on 13th March from NSC replied on Mar 25th received March 30th it was for DOB Certificate. Got email that should hear about a decision in 60 days standard email. PD 04/2004 IL, EB2. I-485 receipt date Aug 31st 2007. Want to check anyone in the sameboat.

Arbask! Can you contact FBI to name check status? I was reading in their website that they reveal details only to the requesting agency, which, in this case, is USCIS. I may be wrong. Can you please share the process how you contacted and other details.

As of today my case is current:
PD: EB2 2004 Feb 9'th
I-485 was originally filed at TSC on EB3 in Aug 07, and interfiled for EB2 at NSC on May 2008 (Confirmed that the files were merged).
Origin: India
140 received date 05/2008

When I contacted USCIS through infopass, I was told that my case is waiting for FBI name check. How long it will take, they could not give any clear date.

Experts.. when can I see some light on my case?

I'm new here and just learning all the acronyms and stuff. I hope I'm posting in the correct forum.

I'm from Romania and work as an H-1B. My employer is sponsoring my AOS, and so far they've been taking care of things, but now they can't give me any guess as to when I can expect the GC. Here is the data I have:

Priority Date: 2007-06-28
Category: EB-3

2007-Aug-11: AOS filed by the lawyers
2007-Sep-25: received by USCIS
2008-Jan: biometrics appointment
2009-Feb: I-140 approved

I've has 2 EADs so far, and a few Advance Paroles, but I suppose these don't matter. I also have a LIN #, which I can list but I'm not sure it's wise from a privacy point of view. If I go to the USCIS CaseStatus web page for my LIN, it says the stage is "Initial Review".

So I'm trying to find out how much longer I have wait, broadly. Are we talking 1 year, or 5?
