Renewing EAD without I-485 Receipt Notice
Hi,
I applied for I-485 in August 2007 with Nebraska Service Center and they mailed out a receipt notice dated Nov 11, 2007 but I never received it. I called Customer Service and spoke to multiple Immigration Officers about a duplicate receipt notice and I was told that they would not be able to issue one and I can just attach a cover letter explaining the situation when I apply for EAD renewal. So, I attached a coverletter with my EAD renewal application but it was rejected because I didn't send the I-485 receipt notice. Does anyone have a similar experience? Any ideas on how to move forward on this? Thanks Rajesh

I485 receipt notice is probably the only and most important document needed for EAD renewal, as you might already know. Do you have the tracking number and the Alien registration Number for your pending I-485? Call USCIS and manually get that info updated into your pending EAD renewal, and see if that helps.
