Any difference b/w name check and background check
Hello,

Not sure if this has been covered here before. Is there any difference between a name check and a background check? My case has been in background check for sometime now. If there is a difference is there any way to try and get them moving on the background check? Similar process to n.c?


My PD is Dec 2001. On AP for many years now.

Yes, there is a difference. I had been stuck in both seperately. Background check is basically on your 485 itself. It can be as pain as the name check, as far as I know.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the reply. Was there anything you did (or could have done) to move the background check along? Mine's been in that state for about 3 years now.
