Card Production Ordered!!!

Just checked the online account AND the 800 no. status. I see the following status email:

On September 8, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Below are my details:

PERM Labor filed : 07/0105
PERM Labor approval date : 09/19/2005

I-140 and I-485 filed on: 09/26/2005
I-140 Approval date: 01/26/2006

First FP:10/18/2005
Second FP: 04/19/2007
Third and Last FP: 09/03/2008

I-485 Approval Date: 09/08/2008

Filed for Expedited AP on 07/22/2008. That was approved on 08/14/2008.
Went to India on 08/19/2008 and came back to US on 09/01/2008 to do FP as lawyer's office had emailed me about the FP letter they had received right after I had left!

For I-485, took help from local congressman's office in 2007 for name check clearing and security check clearing. They also helped me last month for getting the FP appointment letter for expired FP.

Finally, thanks to you all and this forum for uncomparable help, free info., insights and opinions.

My dates are very similar to your. For your recent FP, did u/lawyer do anything to get FP notice? Coz I was told by IO that my FPs are expired but I haven't yet received FP tice.

Yes. For the expired FP I had requested ongressman's office to inform that to USCIS and send me FP appointment letter ASAP.

Congressman's office contacted USCIS and then sent me written letter that I must wait for max 60 days to get the FP. I received FP letter within 15 days of contacting USCIS via congressman's office.

I guess USCIS might be working faster on cases pushed by congressman/senator etc.
My name check would not have been cleared w/o congressman's office help. I was sitting politely waiting for my turn and at one point realized there is no such thing.
It is a matter of luck or political push.

Thanks all.

Today I received my pretty plastic card and two welcome notices!

One original welcome notice and the other duplicate welcome notice which is the exact copy of the original!!

I guess that's great!
