license in florida after green card
does one know for how long do they give license if one got green card in the state of florida, till now i have to get yearly renewal in florida on h1b visa

GC holders who are deemed "safe drivers" get six years in FL, minus however many months needed to reach your birthday (it will always expire on your birthday). But if you have traffic violations and don't qualify for "safe driver" status, it may be less than that (I think 4 years).

Green card holders are treated like citizens. They will receive a license valid for six years unless they have had bad driving histories. In other words, immigration status will not hold you back. One thing to note that is that most green card holders do not get their licenses on the spot. The state verifies your status with DHS first. You will get your license in the mail within 30 days.
