Has anybody done early FP (walk-in) in Alexandria VA?

Hello.
I just received ASC Appointment Notice today for my I-751 applicaiton, and the biometrics is scheduled for the week when my husband and I are going on a vacation. I'm thinking about trying to walk-in since I read on this forum some people have been successful in other service centers.

Has anybody done walk-in FP in Alexandria, VA? Do you think I'll have a better chance if I go on any particular day of the week or time? I would appreciate it if any of you could share your experience.

i did it today at Alexandria VA .. i have the same problem with you (i'm go to Orlando with my wife) and i don't want to wait any longer...so i just try to stop by and ask...... The place is very quiet, not busy at all...i went there about 1:20 pm ... 3 people came in the same times with me ... about 1 or 2people wait for finger print(they fill up there application) i just ask the lady that i have appointment next 2 week , but i can't make it on that day.. she ask me " do you want to do it today since you are here" (why not) so my finger print was done today .... i think you should be able to do walk-in finger print , if the place not too busy they should let you do it..... try to go on non busy day like Tuesday-Thursday 1:00 to 3:00 pm ....like you go to DMV if you see the place are busy try it next day....good luck

I'll try tomorrow (Saturday) and if it's too busy and they don't let me do it, I'll try sometime nextweek during the weekdays.

if you have a flight reservation, it might also help in case the officer is picky

I just got back from ASC, and yes! my biometrics is done!
The lady at the front desk was on the phone when I got there, and she didn't seem to even care about my "excuses" after I said "my appointment date is not today, but I cannot come on the scheduled date because ...."

I had to wait for about an hour since it was pretty crowded. But that's okay. I am so glad I didn't have to reschedule the appointment.

I am happy that I checked out this forum and found out about the walk-in, because I was going to simply reschedule according to what the appointement letter says. Now I can totally enjoy my vacation!
