Is personal check OK for I-751 filing?

Based on what I read on the forum, it seems the answer is YES. But I just want to confirm it.

Thanks.

I didn't send USCIS a check since I didn't know how to. I sent them a personal cheque however and that worked.

American Heritage Dictionary - definition.
cheque
noun. British
Variant of check.

The UK and Britain may spell it "cheque" but not in the USA.
