Travelling and salary

I got my GC in august 2007. I went to india for 3 months from Jan 08-march 08. I came back to usa now but I am thinking about going to india again from may 08-aug 08. I do want to become usa citizen. so if i make this next trip to India does my time to get for usa citizenship increase (countdown for number of days to become citizen will start again from beginning)?

Secondly labor for my GC was applied from philadelphia office of my company at 70 k per year. I'm still with the same employer who sponsered my greencard. However he is running my payroll at 35 dollars per hour from his head office in california because they run payroll from headquaters only. Is it ok? Are we fulfilling the requirement based up on which greencard was approved or I may have problem when applying citizenship?

I will appreciate your replies Gurus.

With 2 weeks off and 40 hours a week for the other 50, you are dead even at 70K.

You apply citizenship after 5 years (minus 90 days) and during that time you need to spend 30 months in USA. You can spend 30 months outside but make sure your any trip wouldn't be more than 6 months so virtually you can take 6 trips to INDIA for each 5 months long and can claim your citizenship after 5 years (I auusme it's employer base).

The salary doesn't effect when apply for Citizenship.

well i need to work for my employer at least 6 months after getting the GC and during those 6 months I should make what was written in labor. My second question is in that context.

My labor was filed in philadelphia office at 70k salary. my employer is paying me 35 per hour from california office. I'm going to leave him soon. but before that I want to make sure that I fulfilled things from my side correctly so that there are no issues while applying for citizenship.

Good thinking. Better to ask now.

And yes, you should be fine.

But it could be a problem if those 5-month-each trips are close together.
