reentry permit

Hi all,

Did any one know how long my mom will receive the reentry permit? She applied it in October last year.

Thanks,
Battelle

Entering into US before the approval of re entry permit and after six months in USA

If you can answer this,

I have applied for re entry permit staying in US and leaving for india,
First scenerio, rentry permit is still not approved and its been more than six months and I want to coming back to US. Would paper work showing that I have applied for permit will help any way?

second scenerio, If its been denied and I have spent more than six months outside USA?

Strictly speaking, you only need the reentry permit for trips over a year.

More than 6 months but less than a year, you still have the burden of proof of showing your ties of residence to the US, whether you have a reentry permit or not. Having showed that you applied for it may possibly provide some incremental help to convince the officer at the port of entry of your intent to return, but ultimately it comes down to showing your other ties of US residence.
