I-130 for Parents

I am a US citizen and want to file I-130 for my parents. My question is that on the I-130 form it says that the following when filing for mother and father

A mother: Submit a copy of your birth certificate showing your name and your mother's name.

A father: Submit a copy of your birth certificate showing the names of both parents. Also give a copy of your parents' marriage certificate establishing that your father was married to your mother before you were born, and copies of documents showing that any prior marriages of either your father or mother were legally terminated.

Do i need my birth certificate only with my parents name or do i need my parents birth certificate also since i am filing for them. I would really appreciate if someone can help me as i need ti file for them next week. Also if someone can list of documents needed to file for parents.

all the necessary documents are listed in the instructions to I-130. You don't need to send anything it doesn't ask for.

Thanks LucyMO, but i need to know if my parents birth certificates are needed or not for them to obtain a Green Card. It does not look like the I-130 petition needs that but i want to gather the BC if its needed down the road

I believe your parents will need birth certificates, certainly if they apply for AOS and I believe also for CP. There are certain non-availability certificates, affidavits etc. that may be acceptable if a birth certificate is not available.

I-130 for my Parents Need help

Sorry guys but i tried to find correct information but i am having hard time.
I filled for my parents who is in India. I filled I-130 and already approved by August.
On September 9th, 08 i received letter about AOS Fee which i paid online at http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/imm...info_1335.html
also we received my parents case Number as well.

Now when i paid the fees online i printed out the receipt. On receipt it says on NEXT STEP that "....Once the payment status is PAID you must print out the documents Cover Sheet and attach it to the documents sent to NVC. You should then go to the NVC web page for further direction".

Now my question is that i already print out the cover sheet but which documents that i need to send it to them.? Do i need to wait until NVC send me further notice?

I am totally confused..please give me correct guidance.

THanks in advance.
