Notice of interview cancellation!!!

Hi I recently got my interview letter for january 16 and today (12/13/07) i got a letter in the mail saying that due to unforseen circumstances they needed to cancel my interview, it also says that they will notify any futher action they decide in my case. Is this because of the many applications they have or what does it mean????
please help

Does it say they will reschedule it? either make an infopass or call them on the phone, it could be that they won't work that day or something...

yes it says that they regret any inconvenience and it also says that they will notify for rescheduled interview in another notice. Tomorrow morning im going to call to see whats going on. I got really worried when I first saw the letter

Then, they will reschedule it and do not worry TOO much.

It has happened before.

Some people even went for the original date, if by then they had not received the rescheduled date.

Usually this means your file has not yet been received by the local DO from the SC.

Just be careful here. I know of cases where people got such a notice and they rightly so never turned up for their scheduled interviews. A few days after the original interview date, they received notices with regards to failing to turn up for their original interview. I would advise you to turn up at the local USCIS office the day of your original interview, if you cannot get an infopass appointment before that.
