What do they mean by 6 months

When checking the processing times for I-485 cases at my DO it says 6 months,

from when do i count the 6 months?

How do I know if my case is at my DO or NBC?

Thanks

I believe that they mean your case should be processed within 6months of the reciept date.

About whether your case is at your DO or at NBC,I don't know for sure because my reciept numbers for I-485 and I-130 did not work on the website until after my interview. But if i'm not mistaken I think i've read a couple members on here that said they recieved updates online letting them know there case was transferred...Hope this helps, good luck.
