Reentry Permit: extension or reapply
All,
I am just wondering if anyone could let me know if a reentry permit can be extended beyond its 2 year of validity or one has to submit another application once it expires. If one has to submit another application, would the requirement be the same as the initial application? Any comments or experience sharing is appreciated. Thank you very much. |

It cannot be extended. You must return to the US and reapply.

I believe that you are threading on the verge of a GC abandoment.... Your greencard is for permanent residence in the United States, and it is expected that you have a legal permanent place of residence in the US.... Soon enough...u will be forced to answer to the POE on where you live.... You should listen to the last conference call Rajiv had with forum members about immigration inquiries and questions...

Thank you for the replies. I do have a permanent residence in the US and am abroad due to work.
I will download Rajiv's last conference call and listen to what he said. Thanks again. |
