What is the process?

Hey guys. I have 2 questions. First, how is your I485 file handled? Where is it processed and who handles it (local office, service center etc) from beginning to finish?
And second question. I applied for my AOS May 28, 2007 and still haven't heard anything about my interview. I had an infopass today and the officer told me it will take at least another 90 days. My local office is in Orlando. Why is is taking so long??

Thank you.

Where an I-485 is processed depends if it is family, asylum or employment based. Why Orlando is taking this long? Most probably backlog.

One more question. How reliable is the online time estimate for waiting?
