difference in I130 filed

How does the processing of I-130 filed for SO in the U.S. differ from I-130 filed for someone residing outside the country?

I have come across so many people on this forum who get their interviews and biometrics soon after filing, mine is kinda stuck??? Please enlighten me, gurus. Thanks.

that depends on who the petition is filed for. If it's filed with I-485, people will get to do biometrics. If it's filed without I-485, you don't need to do biometrics for just I-130.

hi eagle28,
for person residing outisde the country they can opt for IR1/CR1 process or K3visa if married.

With IR1/CR1 process beneficary comes to USA with immigration visa. With k3 visa process it would be non immigration visa and person would file AOS after landing here.

Hope this helps...Cheers
