pls hlp w/N 470

Dear friends

I am a DV 2008 winner from EU ,I am hoping to get my visa by december 2007 .
My case is a bit different if you can help me out .
I am already an employee for very large U.S.A firm in my home country .
This is a joint venture company serving for government in here and holds % 49 shares with a local company .I am with the company for more than 15 yrs
and its work will go on another 5 yrs .
I have planned that after I get my visa I will take a month off from work and travel to states to obtain my GC .
My main future goal has to be for naturalization therefore I would like to apply with N470 FORM to fullfill my intend .
However my question is to you that could this application work for me ?
what are the chances to get approval for my case and preserve the naturalization process .
will they let me to continue with my overseas job or will I find myself in a situation of quitting my present job?

thank you all in advance
regards

Boheme

Below are the answers not exactly in the same sequence of your Qs but general info' on your Qs.Read on.
1)Once you enter US on IV,you will get your PP stamped with I551 and you will get your card subsequently.
2)Since your's is a DV and not a 'employer' based green card there is no
mandate you need to work a specific employer but you need to have a living and follow all requisites to maintain GC,like filing taxes as resident, have a residential adress ,bank account etc etc so that you can substantiate your 'ntention' of to be a PR.(See CIS web site for details for How To maintian..for a PR).
3)Now,you wanted to work outside US and have preservance of residence.
Right?
a)First is Reentry permit:This you need to apply if you want to be absent from US for up to TWO years.
b)If your Employer (in US)shall be an qualified enitity under N470 eligible employer.
You need to be in US for one year before applying.
(See N470 application which typesl organiztions/entities are allowed for this).
c)If you satisfy b)you can file I131(REP) and N470(preservance)applications with all substantiating docs.
4)If you satisfy CIS requirements(strictly)then it may be a possibilty.
(A word of caution:Unless it is on govt. work or embassy work or on that kinda level,N470 approval is bit tough but is possible and they may ask all kinds of RFEs. If N470 is not approved later only preservance may be denied but you can always come back with in two years to US and work here and continue with your GC and Ctzship after 4 yrs 1 month of continuous residence .You will not face problems at POE since you will be having REP).

Thank you very much for your response and very helpful info .
But you said at 3(b) one should be in U.S for 1 year before applying N 470 .
Isnt that makes it impossible for me in the first place ?
It is not logical cause I cannot live in states for a year while I still be working for an American company at home .
I don't think it s workable donT you
