Arrest after AOS filed?

I'm writing this after reading one of the posts here recently that mentions arrest after filing for AOS based on marriage to US Citizen. I'm getting married soon myself and I'm F1 overstay of 2 years. I've never gotten in trouble with law except for few traffic violations.

So my question is - if I were to apply for AOS and the USCIS comes to know of my overstay - then will I face arrest? Is this common or do you think that poster (yuja11) is hiding something from us. According to him, he never violated anything else and the ICE officers showed up at their house 5.30am after his I-130 was already approved. I'm not sure what to think of it . Kind of scared too .. can't afford more money on all the bonds and lawyers fees.

Any views - anyone share experience of something like this happening?

Hi Dexter,

I've been married for 3 yrs ..Like you, I was an F1 and I overstayed my visa by 16 months...Before, my visa expired I made an infopass with USCIS to find out if I had to leave and IO told me no....I explained to the IO that I was pregnant and I didn't feel comfortable taking the vaccination shots for the I-693 .Based on my experience I've successfully filed and waiting for my GC to arrive any day...

congrats Kimm, that's what i thought... that individual that made that posting a while ago must have had some other stuff involved other than just being out of status. I even know someone that came in on F-1, stayed in school for only 3 months, didn't even write his finals and left school to work. After 3 years, he Got married for 5 months, divorced and got married again within 6 months same year. sometime last year, he filed for GC and got his temporary GC this january..
Like i said I have read so many stanger cases in this forum but nothing compared to being arrested just for being out of status and filling for AOS.
