If we get a baby, what will happen...??
Please help me on the the following issue:
My husband's status was F2B. But his father got US citizenship two months ago and we have got married just few days ago (after his citizenship). His father will update his status from F2B to F3 soon. His priority date is October, 2000 and the current processing date is 1st January, 2000 under F3 category (according to the September, 2007 visa bulletin). We are expecting his priority date to become current within next 10 months. Now what will happen if the following factors occur? 1. If we get a baby just before facing visa interview, what will happen? Can we take the baby with us? If yes, how? 2. If we get a baby after we get visa but before going to USA, what will happen? You know that the validity of the issued visa is 6 months. Can we take the baby with us? If yes, how? Regards, Swarna |

A1: If the child is born before the interview, he/she will also get an immigrant visa.
A2: This I am not too sure about. Best approach (if possible) would be to enter the US as soon as you get your immigrant visas.

it's not going to be a following-to-join procedure. It's different. If the child would actually be eligible for a visa as a derivative, then if he/she is born after his parents' visas are issued, he doesn't need a visa.
