Non availability certificate

Hi,I applied for 485... i dont have my birth certificate but i am not able to get my non availability certificate either.I do have affidavits from my parents.is that okay?

You have to get the non-availability certificate from the municipal authority in the city where you were born. Your posting did not mention which country but in India, getting this certificate is a standard thing they do. Affidavits are only secondary documents - I dont think affidavits from your parents will do - you need affidavits from elder relatives who were around when you were born. Hope this helps.

You'll get RFE if you don't provide non availability certificate.

I've my BC from consulate along with the affidavits from parents. Is that okay? Will I get RFE or will the application be rejected?
