H-1B RFE - Please Help
All,
I was on H-1 and got laid-off last month. My spouse (then on H-4) found a job soon-after and her employer filed for H-4 to H-1 via premium processing on Jul 10 (3 weeks after my lay-off). Simultaneously, they filed for my H-1 to H-4. Today she got an RFE asking, among other things, my last three pay stubs. Question - I am still getting severance pay as per the regular semi-monthly pay period from my previous employer. The last two pay stubs (dated jun 30 and jul 15) mention 'severance' on them. Should I submit these two and an earlier pay stub dated jun 15 (when I was duly employed) or should I submit all three stubs (dated jun 15 and earlier) when I was duly employed? I am not sure whether an obvious gap in pay stub for a month would hurt more than filing a 'severance' pay stub. Please help soon. Thanks for your input. |
