Download the form I-765 from the USCIS website and read the instructions.

File online after 3 months
I would say it’s too early for renewal. I think you can wait for another 3 months but make sure to file at least 105 day ahead the expiration date, so in case if you didn't get your EAD on time you can to to local office for an Interim EAD. Btw you can also file your EAD renewal online...look for I-765 at www.uscis.gov

I just learned today that they (USCIS Local Offices) are NOT issuing Interim EADs. But yeah, wait at least 3 months before expiration to renew it.
What happened to your interview and green card though?

Oh yeah, you are that guy... I think you need to make an infopass appointment to your DO and double check that it is in fact for June 2008. Ask for a reschedule or something... It is too long of a wait. 1 YEAR and 4 months for a secondary interview is ridiculous!
