OPT grace period started, H1B filed, waiting for approval
Hi all,
I had my H1 filed in April and when I check my status through my EAC number it says that the corrected fee was received on May 30th even though on the H1B receipt it says that the fee was received on April 18th. My OPT got over on June 22nd. Can anyone please tell me if I can legally stay in the United States after the 60 days grace period gets over in August? I know I can't work during this period but I just want to be sure if it is legal to stay in the US after the grace period is over even if I don't get my approval by then. Thank you.

Get hold of an I 20 from your previous university, be as a student till oct 08.
