Leaving the country before receiving H1-B documents
Hi, my receipt date was April 26,2007 (Master's cap) at Vermont office. Uncertain of when I'll receive my approval, I go ahead bought a plane ticket home for July 12, 2007. Can I leave the country without any documents, approval notice, etc. on hand and just have my lawyer send all documents to my country and have my visa stamp in my local consulate office (assuming that it will get approved)? What are the implications?

I think you should be fine.
The only thing you'd have to do is, upon arrival with new H1B stamping you'll have to update the USCIS with your new I 94 number. no harm in waiting for legal experts response. mukeshinmd rahasiam.com
