anyone filed I-485 without Birth Certificate?

I don't think my country issued a birth certificate to me when I was born. I have heard passport shoud be good enough as secondary evidence. Is there anyone who had/has trouble just because not submitting birth certificate?

Thanks...

Going to file by the end of June 07

If you don't have Birth Certificate, then you need to get TWO Affidavits from each of your parents (Father and Mother). These affidavits should mention your name, date, city and country of birth including the date, place and country of birth of each of your parents, their marriage date etc. These affidavits should be signed by both of them seperately. Incase they are not alive, you need to get the same affidavit from your uncle or aunt, who were present at the time.

Search on internet to obtain a sample of such Affidavits.

Hope this will help.
