Help!I-130 Filing with Nebraska, May 2007.

We live in colorado. My husband filed I-130 on my behalf with Nebraska more than a month ago, but we haven't heard anything from them. No receipts.... make us worried. Does anyone know the timeline of Nebraska on I-130 petition? Anyone filed I-130 around that time heard anything?
Thanks,
-Tracy

is he a US citizen?

It usually takes 4-6 weeks to get a notice of receipt. Was the check cashed?

Hi there,

My husband is a citizen. The check hasn't been cashed yet.

We have no expenrience at all on this type of filing, and it's hard to mange the expectations when there is absolutely no response from Nebraska. We are planing to file I-485 after this, which asks for the approval of I-130 petition. Who knows how long the approval will take...
waiting...

first of all, since your husband is a citizen, you could file I-485 and I-130 in one package because the visa number is available to you immediately.

Now that you have filed I-130 separately, you have to wait for a notice of receipt (not approval), and file a copy of it with your AOS package (I-485) at the CHicago lockbox location. Try to do it before July 30 when the new prices kick in.
