G Visa Changing To Greencard Via Family Based
Hi,
I have G4 visa. My daughter who is a USC is applying AOS for me. Has anyone gone through this process and can advice? My question is when do I lose this G status? As soon as I get a A# or when I get my green card? The issue is that another one of my daughter is dependent on me and therefore - when I lose my status - she will lose her status. Therefore, I wanted to know exactly when I would lose this G Status? A lawyer told me that I don't lose G status until I get greencard, however, someone else said that I would lose it as soon as I get the A#! Please advice ! I am filling out the following forms, is there any missing? I - 130 / I - 485 / I - 566 / I - 508 / I - 864 I don't think I need I 765 as I am already working under G Visa. THanks in advance.
