how many people get the stamp after interview?

Hi,

Is the stamp put in the passport most of the time or does it have to be asked for? Im hoping they stamp mine at the interview and im trying to find if this is the norm or is it rare?

From what I understand they no longer stamp passports. People usually get their cards within a couple of weeks so they feel that they don't need to stamp peoples passports. I have heard of cases were applicants ask the IO and they stamp it. Also if you need to travel asap make an infopass appointment and I believe they usually stamp it if you explain your reason.
