Anyone else have Baltimore as their DO?

Hi All,

See my time-line below. The only thing that I didn't include is that we did receive another notice from the NSC that the case was being moved to the California SC - but that seems pretty common.

Except there's no processing date for family based I-485! So I called the 800 number to inquire and was referred to my local office for processing times. Baltimore is currently processing July 2006!!!

July 2006?!?!?

How can they be so far behind when it seems like everyone is having their interviews scheduled within 3-6 months of filing!?

Anyone else waiting for an interview with the Baltimore office, or have recent Baltimore experience?

PLEASE share!!

I experienced a horrible problem with the Vermont office when I filed for my husband's fiance visa - they lost my paper work for OVER a year! So I get perplexed when I see posts from people who filed months after we did and have already gone through their interview.

Thanks much!

See below...

I already interviewed and was recommended for approval. It was pretty quick and painless. It was like most other interview experiences on this site, hence, why I didn't bother posting my experience. Same standard questions:

Asked me questions off the G-325 form about my wife
Asked my wife questions off the G-325 form about me
Asked how we meet.
Asked how I proposed.
It was mostly conversational and not an interview where I was grilled.
She was from Philly and I lived in Philly for 5 years (yup, I'm a die-hard EAGLES fan! especially cuz the Redskins suck!!). We mostly talked about cheesesteaks and baseball

She reccomended me for approval because she wasn't authorized to approve the petition herself. She basically said that all Baltimore AOS applications go through a 'reverification' process in which only supervisors can sign off on an approval, so I'm still waiting.

Aside from that everythign else went great.

Thanks!

It's interesting that you sent your AOS paperwork about two weeks before we sent ours, and there's been no update (according to the website) since Jan. 20, 2007 for the status of ours.

Well...<sigh>...we're used to waiting for USCIS, so...we'll just keep waiting!
