221g Pending Additional Administrative Processing

my h1b was approved in november 2005 n i attended consulate interview in chennai consulate in april 2006. but that time they issued 221g asking for some more documents. i again went with those documents in sept 2006 n that time also they gave 221g but marking need AAP. i had created USCIS case status online request n through that got to know that my case status is as given below.

but until now no progress in the status. can anyone tell me how much more time it will take to decide on my case? is there anything which i can do to know the situation?

i had to deal with this case too. in a situation like this, they say it could take from 6 weeks to 6 months. its very difficult to tell. but again, you should keep checking with the company they filed ur h1b, they can call USCIS and find out what's going on. mukesh, rahasiam.com
