Any time limit-travel abroad?

Hi,

I just wanted to know after getting GC with in how many months one can travel abroad. I do not think the day you get your GC the next day you can travel outside the country. The system at POE has to be updated right and it might take some time. Like sometimes Social security administration might take 2-3 weeks for their system get updated (from nonimmigration to permanent resident).

Is there any time limit say after 1 month or 2months like that (on safe side) ? I appreciate your feedback.

I don't think there is any thing that stops you from travelling immediately
after getting GC. You should be able to travel in/out of the country the day after you get your GC or I551 stamp on your PP.

I remember someone posting their experience on travelling outside the country immediately after getting I551 stamp on the passport (Poongunranar? I guess).

Good luck
