Hello, I am new to the forum. My father came last year and after a month he was here he received his green card not long after that my grandmother became really ill so he had to go back to our country, Peru. He has been there for over a year but he is now ready to come back. What do we need to do to get him back to the US?

If he stayed out of US more than 1 year then I dont think he will be admitted to US as permanent resident. if he applied Reentry permit that is valid for 2 years then he can be back. if no reentry permit then he may have to apply SB-1 visa with US consulate with all the documents.
search google for SB-1 visa and it is difficult to get
